Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act
The Cares Act is a $2.2 trillion stimulus package to provide economic relief to individuals, states and businesses nationwide due to the Coronavirus
COVID-19 pandemic.
Requirements and Benefits:
Home Owners: you can request loan payment forbearance from your loan provider. The forbearance may be granted for up to 180 days without penalties, interest or credit damage.
Individuals: if you make less than $75,000 per year you will receive a one time payment of $1,200;
Couples that file their income tax jointly and earn less than $150,000 per year will get a one time payment in the amount of $2,400 and if you have children, there will be and additional $500.00 per child.
Small Business Owners: If you own a business in any of the U.S states, Washington D.C and territories you can apply for a COVID-19 economic injury disaster loan up to $10,000.
Job loss due to COVID-19: you can apply for unemployment, this will give you up to $600 per week for up to 12 weeks.
